| Episode 1:Begin the Defense of the Earth [Gate Keeper concept and AEIGIS introduced. Shirei, Ruriko Ikusawa and Shun Ukiya first appearance.] [Brief summary] A landing airplane was watched by binoculars. Before the plane even landed, it exploded. The man in green uniform and his subordinate put down their binoculars. The subordinate asked if it was an accident. The man in green uniform took a moment to answer. A tiny red light flew away from the burning plane. "No, it's them... Invaders." The man in green uniform finally answered. (Episode Title) On TV was a "protect-the-earth" show, suddenly someone turned the channel to the news. The boy who was watching protested to his little sister who just turned the channel. -News: accident in Haneda Airport- The girl scolded her older brother to stop watching "kiddie shows". The boy called his little sister Saemi. The boy switched the channel back to his favorite show but Saemi turned it back to the news. They started to take turns on switching the channel until Saemi yelled at her brother that she did not want to watch the "kiddie show". Their mother began to cry. Saemi went out to go to school. The boy finished his food quickly and prepared to go too. The crying mother called her son Shun. Kazuko (mother of Shun, I'll use her unintroduced name because it is easier...) stopped cry-acting and reminded her son to pray to his father (who was already dead, btw). Shun did not care about his late father. Kazuko said he misunderstood his father then started to tell stories about Shun's birth. Shun knew the story was going to be long so he ran out. Shun leaned for a while on a post when Saemi frightened him. Saemi asked about their mother and Shun said it was the usual. -Caption: May 1969- Shun told her sister not to run off again. Saemi reasoned that she did not want to deal with their mother's crying. Saemi pointed to a place where they (with their father) took a train. Shun bitterly said he did not remember it. Saemi saw Mr. Matsuda and greeted him. Mr. Matsuda who was fixing his three-wheeled car greeted back. Shun also greeted and asked Mr. Matsuda if the engine was broken *again*. Mr. Matsuda nodded and said if their father was alive he could have fixed it. Mr. Matsuda stopped talking and apologized. Saemi went off and Shun told her sister to be careful. Shun had to go also. Before Shun left, Mr. Matsuda gave his regards to his mother. When Shun was gone, Mr. Matsuda kicked his car. The man in green uniform said they had lost six out of eight decoys already. A propeller plane was in the middle and was surrounded by a smokescreen (for security purposes). The propeller plane opened its body and revealed a cargo, numbered 8. The subordinate asked if the cargo would be alright. The man in green had devised a plan about it and mentioned about a girl. A red school bus just passed Haneda Airport. A girl in yellow was touring the passengers. The man in green uniform awhile ago was now wearing blue and was driving the school bus. The girl introduced herself to the "tourists" as Ruriko Ikusawa. Within the bus was the cargo accomodated by the propeller plane awhile ago. Shun's kendo match began. Shun gave his opponent a proud smile. When the opponent attempted to hit Shun, he did a stunt and said he would show real fight. Shun prepared for his special technique called Ultra Whirlwind Slash. Shun tried to jab his opponent but missed. The opponent hit Shun in his wrist and the match was over with Shun losing. After class, the kendo teacher called Shun. The teacher offered Shun to join the kendo club and learn from the basics and even mentioned of a scholarship possibility that could help Shun's mother. Shun preferred a part-time job so he declined the offer. It was traffic in the main road so the red school bus took a narrow road. <Scenes> In a ramen restaurant, a customer who just finished his soup complained that it was pig food. The customer even asked for his money back. Suddenly the man's face was starting to change. A rowdy driver bumped Mr. Matsuda's car to a side. The rowdy driver enjoyed it. The rowdy driver also began to change in appearance. An old man treated told his mistress he did not need him. The old man started to transform also. These people along with others marched like zombies along the streets. They stopped somewhere and started to wear sunglasses at the same time. The zombie people turned into mannequin-like figures wearing uniform black coats and black hats.<End Scenes> Ruriko Ikusawa was already bored with her tourist guide job. When an alien frequency was detected, Ruriko Ikusawa was finally spirited. ^_^; The driver (the man in green uniform awhile ago) pointed forward. The school bus was surrounded by smokescreen and started to convert its look into an armored bus. AEGIS Logo was revealed on its front. The smokescreen that was just covering the transformation slowly disappeared. The black-coated creatures started attacking the bus with their bazookas. Meanwhile, Shun was delivering newspapers to every household. When Shun finished delivering newspaper to a street he noticed Mr. Matsuda trying to push his stuck car. Mr. Matsuda was delighted to see Shun. The "tourists" were just disguised soldiers and they called the driver Shirei (or Commander). Shirei asked Ruriko if she could do it. With no other choice, Ruriko agreed. Ruriko removed her yellow costume and was wearing an ordinary high school uniform. Ruriko called herself a Gate Keeper and said she was ready. Ruriko rose from the bus and so did the soldiers. The soldiers countered the black-coated creatures' bazookas. Ruriko formed a ring of light in front of her and extended a portable bow. Ruriko got an arrow hidden in her right thigh and pointed it to the enemies. Rings of yellow light started to circle around the arrow. Ruriko encouraged herself that she could do it. (BTw, the soldiers were starting to be knocked out one by one) Ruriko released the arrow and it zoomed through the enemies, hitting all in one straight line. The targeted black-coated creatures became green crystals. The subordinate could not believe Ruriko did it with a single shot. Shirei explained that Ruriko had the ability to draw power from alternate dimension and it was called opening a gate. Shirei added that the drawn powers could be released as tremendous energy. Shirei stated that Ruriko was their first Gate Keeper and had the ability to open the Gate of Life. Meanwhile, Mr. Matsuda and Shun struggled to carry the car back to the road. Ruriko continuously attacked enemies in a straight line. Just as when Ruriko was enthusiastic to finish them all, Shirei stopped her because of her stamina limit. Ruriko could not disobey Shirei so she followed. The armored bus escaped. Then the tiny red light appeared above the black-coated creatures. The red dot became a red hat. When the red hat landed on the ground it rose as a figure that looked like the enemies except, red. Apparently, the red creature was the leader and it commanded the initiation of "fusion". The people who were watching thought it was going to be on TV. The coated creatures became a huge Iron ball. When the Iron Ball started to roll, that was when the surrounding people started to run away. Ruriko summoned her gate again to heal the wounded soldiers. The soldier's wounds were instantly treated and no trace of blood was left. Shirei said it was a part of Ruriko's ability. Ruriko started to feel weak. On the dashboard's interface, the enemy was detected to be following their bus. Shirei realized that the enemies changed in their combat form (fusion). The Iron Ball took a shortcut to intercept the bus. Mr. Matsuda's car finally got out of the edge. Mr. Matsuda thanked Shun for his help. To their dismay, the Iron Ball happened to pass by, and the poor three-wheeled car was run through. Luckily, Shun pulled Mr. Matsuda right away. Poor Matsuda was teary eyed when he saw his flattened car. The Iron Ball threw small iron balls at the bus, it didn't just target the bus but the whole surroundings. From fences, to electric posts, etc. The bus got knocked off to its side (the cargo got slightly unattached inside). The Iron Ball continued to roll along the way. Shun ran after the Iron Ball because it was heading to the direction of his house. Shun stopped when he saw the memorable place wrecked. The place was where his whole family (including his father) waited for a train. The thrown iron balls returned to the main Iron Ball. Ruriko jumped out of the knocked out bus and took all arrows from her dispenser. Ruriko opened her gate. At the same time, Shun was starting to form rings of bluegreen light around his pupils. Ruriko released all of her arrows at the same time but it only destroyed a portion of the ball. Ruriko fell to her knees and wondered if her power was not that strong. The unattached cargo was called Gate Power Amplifier by the subordinate. The man told Shirei that it was responding to something. Shirei said it was impossible because it was not even switched on. The man suggested that it was reacting to Ruriko's power. Shirei disagreed because it should not happen on normal gate powers. The red core of the Iron Ball detected a strong energy so it warned fellow black-creatures. Shun picked a can and prepared to run. The Gate Power Amplifier was glowing. Shirei said there must be a strong Gate Keeper nearby. The Gate Power Amplifier's glow was getting stronger. Ruriko wondered if there was a Gate Keeper stronger than her. Then Ruriko noticed Shun running towards the Iron Ball. Shun angrily threw the can to the Iron Ball, saying he would not allow it to destroy his home. A fast circling wind pushed the can to the Iron Ball. Shun was amazed about the power he released. The red core looked at Shun and he was the target. The Iron Ball rotated while it ran after Shun. The Iron Ball threw balls at Shun until he fell. Ruriko ran to where Shun was knocked out. Shun was covered by heavy weighted scraps and Ruriko removed them with all her might. Ruriko told Shun to hold on. Shun thought it was funny he thought about his dad who he hated. Ruriko held to Shun's hand and healed him. Ruriko told Shun that the weakpoint was the red core. Ruriko said she could not fight anymore and Shun could be the only one to defeat the enemy. Rings started to form in Shun's pupils again. Shun picked a pipe near him and started to go for the red core. The red core redetected the strong power. Huge rings of light formed in front of Shun and Shun absorbed it to his pipe. A squall was forming around Shun and Shun started to bash every balls attacked to him. Shirei was observing Shun. Shun jumped and attacked the red core with his special technique, Ultra Whirlwind Slash. The squall was accumulating inside the ball and with the red core attacked, the other black balls disintegrated like chain reaction. The Iron Ball finally disappeared. Shun had no idea what he had just done. Shirei told Shun it was gate power. Shirei said he was looking for someone like Ruriko and it happened to be him. Shun looked at the girl. When Shun mentioned his name to Shirei, Ruriko seemed to recognize him. And Shun was also beginning to recognize Ruriko. Shirei was talking about needing Shun's power to protect Earth from Invaders (the black and red coats a while ago) and was explaining about the meaning of Gate Keepers. Shun was not listening and was trying to recognize Ruriko. Finally Shun got it and he chuckled. Before Ruriko could hear what Shun had to say, she screamed. Shun said they were neighbors back then and Ruriko was his friend he called, "Rurippe the Sniveler". Ruriko was angry with shame. Shirei stopped talking and was calm even though Shun did not listen to him. |

Episode 2: Stand up for Peace! [Megumi Kuragane brief first appearance; Ruriko-Shun past relationship shown] [Brief summary] In 1960, the old hometown of Shun and Ruriko was taken by a construction company. At the old Ukiya Family Residence, Shun asked Ruriko when they would be moving. Ruriko said next week. Ruriko was trying to say something when Kazuko (Shun's mother) called Shun. Shun handed the toy he was holding to Ruriko. Before Shun left, Ruriko confessed she always liked him. Ruriko blushed and waited for Shun's reply. Shun looked away and said he liked Miyu-chan better because she was not a sniveler like "Rurippe". Ruriko just snuffled and could not accept Shun's rude answer. Ruriko sniffed the mucus back and fell to her knees. The ground started to break and Ruriko screamed. <End dream> Ruriko finally woke up -- and sniveling. The first thing she saw was the toy Shun gave years ago. The toy was a wooden monster and it was displayed at Ruriko's desk. Ruriko snapped and asked why Shun had to be a Gate Keeper. (Episode Title) Mr. Ikusawa was reading newspaper and remarked that next year's Expo would be good because it would keep the economy booming. Ruriko came down and greeted her parents good morning. Mr. Ikusawa noticed Ruriko was pale and asked if something was wrong. Ruriko said she was fine as she sat on the dining chair. Mrs. Ikusawa remarked that Ruriko was always busy. Before Ruriko could eat her breakfast, she looked at her watch and stood up to go off. Mrs. Ikusawa said it was too early. Ruriko said she was asked to show a new student around the school. Ruriko said her goodbye and went off. Shun finished his breakfast and told his mother he would be late because he would be coming to a nearby school. Saemi did not approve of Shun's reason because he promised they would go to Shinjuku. Shun promised he would come and then went off. Shirei was driving a sleek car (Citroen DS Pallas) with Ruriko and Shun. Shun could not wait to see the base of "Earth Defense Army". Ruriko corrected Shun that it was "Eath Defense Organization. Shirei stopped the car in a gas station. The gas station employer asked if Shirei wanted Blend or Regular. Shirei showed a transparent card with an AEGIS Logo in it and said he wanted Special. The gas station employer saluted and began to operate the underground passage. While being transported underground, Shirei explained that Invaders appeared in 1945 when the World War II was ending. Invaders blended with humans and began creating disputes in Japan. Shun was not really listening but was observing the base. Shun was amazed to see YS aircraft and a rocket underground. They got out of the car and stood along a moving transporter. Shirei continued to explain about AEGIS' function to prevent Invaders from creating further disputes. Shun was still not listening and was commenting that the base was incomparable. Finally they arrived in a large room. The wide screen began to show a world map. Shun ran to one of the surrounding computers and asked if it was using artificial intelligence. Ruriko called Shun's attention. Shirei continued to explain that AEGIS needs a Gate Keeper who could match the Invaders. Shirei pointed dramatically to Shun and said AEGIS wanted him to be a part of the Gate Keepers party. Shun frowned a bit. Ruriko and Shun were in an elevator. Ruriko was surprised Shun had to think about joining the Gate Keepers. Ruriko thought Shun would just agree. The elevator stopped at a Science Laboratory. Ruriko reminded Shun to stop calling her Rurippe and said she was different from who she was before. Shun noticed laboratory tools around and wondered if they were in a school. Ruriko explained that AEGIS Far East Branch's Headquarters was located just below the school. Ruriko met up with her classmates who complained about an uprising in their meeting (the girls were Isogai, Aya, and Takanashi and take note they *hated* uprisings). Ruriko told them she would talk to them and advised them to be careful so that other class represantatives would not be drawn into the uprising. When the girls went off, Ruriko asked Shun if he understood that she was different from who she was before. Shun agreed but remarked that she was trying too hard. Ruriko had a disappointed face. Shun had to go because he had something to do. Ruriko asked if he would join the Gate Keepers party. Shun could not think of an answer yet and he asked if he needed to transfer to Tategami High School (the name of the school) in case. Ruriko said transportation would not be a problem because school dormitories were near. Even though Shun's house was not very far from the school, nearer dorm had an advantage in case of AEGIS call-ups. Shun arrogantly said that earth defense was fun but... Ruriko cut in and said that there was nothing fun about earth defense. They began to argue about the happening last day. Ruriko said it was just luck that Shun defeated the enemy. Shun teased that she was just upset he did her job. A nerd girl walked between them. Ruriko called the girl Kurogane-san. Kurogane remarked that their argument was lover's quarrel. Ruriko ignored her classmate's remark and told Shun to finish their argument. But Shun managed to escape while Kurogane was passing by. Shun arrived home and saw a note. The note had a doodle of Shun's face and the characters were translated as "My brother is an idiot". Shun took the note and realized he was late for his promise. Shun remembered saying the same phrase to his father. <Flashback>//His father promised him something but he did not keep it. Shun called his father a liar and an idiot.//<end Flashback> Shun thought if he did the same thing as his father. Saemi and Kazuko were watching a youth antiwar demonstration concert. A grownup stopped the youth demonstrators and took the guitar. The grownup played the guitar rowdily and sang, "war is cool, peace sucks". Strange sound wave was suddenly heard. The grownup started to become weird, more grownups followed and started to walk like zombies. A red Invader appeared and initiated the mission. The zombie grownups wore sunglasses and began to transform into black Invaders. The Invaders rose to the ceiling, literally penetrating it. The celing began to shatter, and so did the whole structure. An AEGIS Agent near the place detected the alien frequency and immediately reported it to the headquarters. Miss Ochiai reported the alien frequency location to Shirei. The Invaders were in West Entrance of Shinjuku station. Miss Ochiai said there was an antiwar folksong going on when the Invaders attacked. Shirei realized that the Invaders were targeting the youth who would shoulder the future. Shirei demanded that Ruriko be dispatched to Shinjuku immediately. Ruriko was aboard AEGIS bus, headed to Shinjuku. Shun looked at the chalk drawing on the wall. It was a drawing of a man and a car with the words "My dad is an idiot". Shun opened the door of his father's garage. He came inside and saw a broken paperplane. <Flashback>Shun's paperplane got broken and his father promised to fix it. Shun became happy when his father said it because he would be testing the paperplane with his friends. The next day, Shun's plane was not fixed by his father and he was left alone without a plane while his friends played happily. Shun's father apologized and said he did not have the time. Shun was crying while his father was fixing an engine. That was the time he started scribbling "My dad is an idiot" on the wall. Shun's father begged Shun to forgive him and promised he would come to his graduation because his engine was already finished. In 1963, graduation of elementary students of Youga East School, Shun waited for his father's appearance. His father promised to come with the car he designed and even promised a test drive after the graduation ceremony. But his father failed to come because of a car accident. <End Flashback> Shun continued to stare at the broken paperplane. Meanwhile, Ruriko had arrived in the now wrecked Shinjuku. When Ruriko heard a sound, Ruriko rushed and debris started to fall. Faint voices called out from a blocked rock wall. Ruriko stopped by a rock wall and asked if they were alright. The trapped people replied that there were injured people. Ruriko told them to hold on and promised to get some help. Luckily, Saemi and Kazuko who were also trapped did not get injured. Kazuko assured Saemi that they would be fine because help would come. The Invaders appeared in the form of an Driller. The Driller disturbed the surroundings, causing more wreckage. Ruriko attempted to attack the Driller but the drill was spinning so fast, the wind pressure formed deflected Ruriko's arrow. Shun closed the garage door. Shun looked at the sparkplug he got from the garage and said he could not leave his family because he did not want to be like his father. Shun put the sparkplug in his pocket and moved on. Shun saw Mr. Matsuda with his brand new car. Mr. Matsuda invited Shun for a ride. The radio news reported about explosion in Shinjuku. Shun was alarmed when he heard Shinjuku. Saemi was holding tightly to her mother. The Driller was parrying every arrow Ruriko threw out. Ruriko ran away from the trapped people and continued to attack the Driller. The Driller turned to Ruriko. Ruriko tripped from a rock and her arrows fell out from its dispenser. Ruriko assured herself she could do it then released an arrow to the Driller. Ruriko had three more arrows left. Ruriko ejected two arrows consecutively but only hurt the Driller a bit. Holding the last arrow in her hand she said she was not Rurippe the sniveler anymore. Mr. Matsuda could not make his car faster because it was brand new. Driven by the need to save his family, Shun opened a huge gate in front of the car. When Mr. Matsuda's car passed through the gate, and the car zoomed wildly. Mr. Matsuda was frightened and he had no control of the car. A Scouting helicopter reported about the zooming car to Shirei. Shirei must have known it was Shun so he ordered all traffic lights to be turned to green. The Driller headed to Ruriko. Ruriko was about to eject her last arrow, but the Driller detected another energy source and it stopped. Shun finally arrived at the wreckage and started to call out for his sister and mother. Shun heard Saemi's voice and started to run to it. Debris fell over Shun when the Driller headed to him. Shun's power broke the debris and was greatly angered. Shun released an overwhelming power to the whole place. More debris started to fall and Ruriko ran to Shun. Ruriko told Shun to stop but he would not unless the Driller was finished. Ruriko slapped Shun to his senses and told him to use his gate properly or else the trapped people would be killed. Shun realized what he did and said he just did not want to be like his late father. Ruriko scolded him and ran to the Driller. Shun held to his slapped cheek and remembered Saemi's words, "My brother is an idiot!...LIAR!" Shun rose up and said he was not like his father who died breaking promises. Shun took the spark plug from his pocket. Ruriko released her last arrow and Shun threw the spark plug. The spark plug was faster than Ruriko's arrow and it destroyed the wind pressure of the Driller. Ruriko's arrow finally hit the unshielded Driller. The Driller was finally gone. Ruriko gave a slight smile to Shun. Rescue team finally came. The rock wall was opened and Shun called his mother and sister. Shun apologized to Saemi for being late. Saemi jumped to his brother and hugged him. Meanwhile, Mr. Matsuda was crying for his wrecked car. At home, Shun made up his mind and told his mother and sister that he received a scholarship in Tategami so he would not be staying with them for awhile. Saemi did not want his brother to go but Kazuko allowed Shun with his decision. Just outside where Ruriko and Shirei who were waiting for Shun. Shun bade good bye to his family and finally closed the door to his home. |

Episode 3: Play the Dazzling Music
[Reiko Asagiri and Megane introduced] [Brief summary] The alarm clock ringed six in the morning. Ruriko woke up and stretched a bit. Ruriko opened the window to greet the birds, but she saw Shun half-naked in the opposite window. Shun explained that the dormitory was full so Shirei assigned him in the guesthouse next to Ikusawa Residence. Ruriko realized she was in her nightdress so she threw things at Shun and yelled "PERVERT!". (Episdode Title) Ruriko and Shun were running on their way to school. Ruriko blamed Shun that she would be late for the first time. Shun kept running until he reached the school grounds. Shun turned to Ruriko but saw her walking innocently with fellow students. Ruriko greeted the students good morning and also Shun. Shun teased that Ruriko wore her mask again. Ruriko turned to Shun angrily and yelled. The walking students stopped and looked at Ruriko. Ruriko acted innocently again and to her relief the students went on. The school played the Soap Song ("Let's wash our hands with soap! Germs disappear in a hurry. Even your heart is sparkling clean...") that Tategami High School students could not stand. Ruriko quickly grabbed Shun by the ear and said it was one of AEGIS secret call-ups. Ruriko stopped by a trash bin and threw Shun in it. Apparently, it was one of the secret underground passageway to the base. At the base, Shirei showed Ruriko and Shun lists of Gate Keeper candidates. The list stopped at Reiko Asagiri an 18 year old high school student. Shun WOW-ed when the screen showed Reiko wearing revealing outfit. The screen continues to play a video account of Reiko's life. Shirei narrated that Reiko had been playing the piano for charity, hospitals, and kindergartens. Reiko was famous for her Dazzling Melody because it was said to produce bewitching illusions. Ruriko asked if Dazzling Melody was related to a gate power. Shirei said it was still unconfirmed and an AEGIS Intelligence detected alien frequency around her house. Shirei assigned the mission to protect her from Invaders and to find out if Reiko Asagiri was really a Gate Keeper as well. Ruriko affirmed Shirei's orders. Shun agreed and said he could not resist to Reiko's beauty. Shirei stopped Shun for awhile because he had something to give to Shun. On the table was an Earth Defense License and a wooden thing. Ruriko explained that the bearer of the Earth Defense License had special freedom to act above the law. Shun picked the wooden thing and inspected it. The wooden thing expanded into a staff. Shirei explained that the staff or the wooden sword had a built-in micro amplifier that was made especially for Shun's gate power. Shun slashed the air with his new wooden sword and said it was cool. However, that was not all. Shirei led Shun to a room with printed figures, "UP-15". The UP-15 wall opened and revealed a metallic blue sports car. The car was a special pursuit vehicle called UP-15 or... A boy with glasses appeared below the car and continued, "...Yotahachi". Shirei introduced the boy as the chief mechanics expert of AEGIS. The boy called himself Megane. (means glasses) Yotahachi rose in an elevator while Megane explained that the car was designed for Shun's gale gate ability. There was sandstorm in the school grounds and the students were complaining that it was always happening in Tategami. The sandstorm was actually hiding Yotahachi's departure. Shun drove Yotahachi with joy. Ruriko complained that Shun was driving a bit fast. Ruriko remarked that Shun was like his father who liked cars. Shun did not want to hear anything about his father so he hit the gas and drove faster. After a while, Shun was caught by a police officer. The police officer scolded Shun for driving the car fast even though he was still in high school. When the police officer asked for a license, Shun handed his new license. When the officer realized it was the Earth Defense License he apologized and allowed Shun to pass through. Ruriko and Shun arrived at Reiko's *big* house. Ruriko interviewed Reiko who seemed half-witted. When Ruriko asked what Reiko thinks about UFO and ESP, Reiko replied that she wanted to ride a broomstick. When Ruriko asked about Reiko's Dazzling Melody, Reiko asked back what dazzling meant. Ruriko and Shun got kicked out of the house when Shun asked why Reiko was not wearing revealing clothes. Reiko resumed her piano practice. Ruriko and Shun heard Reiko's piano practice and remarked that the music was wonderful but had a sad feeling. Ruriko and Shun noticed that their surroundings turned into a calm misty lake illusion. Ruriko and Shun agreed to each other that Reiko was a Gate Keeper. People gathered in the Town Hall, excited to watch Reiko's concert. The Town Hall workers were rude and scolded the people. One of the workers even said he did not understand why so many idiots came to Reiko's boring concert. Another worker complained that because of the concert he was drowned to work. Reiko peeked from the backstage and noticed the empty reserved. The chairs were reserved for Reiko's parents, but they did not come. Reiko recalled her past when her parents gave the piano to her. <flashback>A scene of a delighted young Reiko when she received the piano. Reiko turned to her parents to thank them but her parents started to hate each other. Reiko's parents suddenly disappeared from her sight. Reiko called her mother and father but there was no answer.<end flashback> Ms. Ono (her nanny) told Reiko to prepare and gave her confidence. Ruriko and Shun also came to the concert to check Reiko. Reiko walked upstage to start the concert. As Reiko played the piano, the auditorium turned into an under sea illusion. The audience relaxed, but the rude workers outside the auditorium dropped down to their knees and covered their ears in pain. The rude workers became Invaders and they went inside the auditorium. The Invaders started firing their bazookas all over the auditorium. The audience ran for their lives (and Ms. Ono was also pushed out by the panicking audience). Ruriko told Shun to attack the Invaders while she gets Reiko. Shun tried to open his gate, but his power would not respond. When the Invaders were nearing Shun, Ruriko attacked them with her arrows. Ruriko told Shun to concentrate harder. Shun tried again but failed. Shun used physical power with his brand new wooden sword. However plain weapons do not work at Invaders. Invaders surround Shun, so Ruriko prepared to attack them. Before Ruriko could attack, she noticed an Invader struggling in pain. Ruriko noticed earplug came out of the Invader's ear and it was suffering because of Reiko's music. More Invaders that Shun hit a while ago fell. Ruriko told Shun to hit the Invader's because Reiko's Dazzling Melody was hurting them. Shun did as what Ruriko said and Invaders started to fall to the ground. A red Inavder appeared and started fusion with the black Invaders. Invaders turned into a huge Stereo. The Stereo produced loud electric guitar noise that overpowered Reiko's Dazzling Melody. Ruriko and Shun were helpless, and Reiko was gasping while she continued to play the piano. The noise overwhelmed Reiko's Dazzling Melody completely. The Town Hall windows started to break and the noise was also heard outside. Megane, who was wearing ear protection, appeared in the control room. Megane waved at Ruriko and Shun and switched the volume to its maximum. Huge speakers around Reiko appeared and Reiko's music re-overpowered the loud electric guitar noise. The Stereo started to throw discs to Shun and Ruriko -- and Reiko's piano. Reiko's piano was destroyed and Reiko opened her eyes. In tears and rage, Reiko released an internal power that did not require the piano. The Stereo was starting to sweat. Apparently, Reiko's power was a bunch of dolls! A cute doll transfromed into a monster doll. The Stereo cracked in fear until the red core was revealed. Ruriko took the chance and targeted the red core. Shun, Ruriko, and Megane ran to the fainted Reiko. Reiko quickly recovered from Shun's arms. Reiko looked at the auditorium, and at "Ruriko-san" and "Ukiya-san". Reiko remarked it was fun and naively said that she just used magic. Reiko said her childhood dream was to become a witch. |

Gatekeepers does not belong to me, it belongs to Gonzo, AXN and all those other great people who brought the anime series to life (who I'm not in *any* way associated with). No infringement was intended, believe me. |
