Episode 7: Shoot Down the Enemy Out of the Sky
[Fen Feiring and Ukkeiya introduced]
[Brief summary]

A plane was speeding through the clouds, trailing after something. The pilot was breathing heavily through his (or her, we'll find out later) mask. The pilot got his plane out of the thick clouds and sighted a plane with red nose. The pilot fired missiles at the red-nosed plane. A monkey's shriek was heard inside the pilot's plane. Unfortunately, the red-nosed plane had eluded the missiles. (episode title)

Shun was driving his Yotahachi on his way to his mission. Shun was sent to a special mission to meet a Gate Keeper from Shanghai. Shun recalled Shirei's instruction.

<Flashback>Shirei informed Shun of a Gate Keeper from Shanghai who sighted an Invader plane and had followed it to Japan but lost sight of it. The Gate Keeper landed on Atsugi Airforce Base. Shirei instructed "Ukiya-taichou" to join with this Gate Keeper. After that, Miss Ochiai handed Shun the necessary file.<End Flashback>

Shun smiled when he remembered how he was called "taichou" (captain) by Shirei in his first job. Shun checked the file that was handed by Miss Ochiai. Shun noticed that the file was empty.

"OH MY!" Miss Ochiai was searching around the clinic for a missing file. (If you hadn't noticed Miss Ochiai worked as a nurse in Tategami) Miss Ochiai realized that she gave Shun an empty file. Miss Ochiai decided to report it to Shirei but changed her mind because she accidentally gave Shirei a collection of her poetry in the past. ^_^; Finally she found the file. At the same time, Bancho was running to the clinic because he had a wound on his index finger. Bancho ran inside the clinic with his wounded finger raised. Miss Ochiai was glad to see Bancho. Bancho was moved that he was needed by "Madame Secretary". Miss Ochiai insisted that she should be called Keiko Ochiai. (she's a nurse and she's not in the base) Miss Ochiai requested Bancho to bring the file to Shun. Bancho agreed and when he was about to go, Miss Ochiai stopped him. Miss Ochiai asked if there was something he needed. Bancho raised his index finger and said it had blood. Miss Ochiai took Bancho's finger and sucked it! *POP!* After that, Bancho yelled in delight, "I'll do anything for you Madame Secretary!" Bancho went on filled with spirit. Miss Ochiai waved and reminded Bancho that her name was Keiko Ochiai.

Shun arrived at Atsugi Airforce Base. As Shun was doing all the process in getting inside the Airforce Base, he was thinking of the possibility that would happen if Ruriko were with him. Maybe Ruriko would say that he failed as a captain because he did not check the file. Shun wondered what Ruriko was doing at that time.

-Ruriko sneezed.-

<Flashback> Shun was supposed to be assigned to guard the Haneda Airport and Ruriko was supposed to meet with the Gate Keeper from Shanghai. However Shirei mentioned a special costume and Ruriko thought that stewardesses usually worked in airports. Ruriko volunteered to be assigned to Haneda Airport instead. Shirei asked Ruriko if she was sure because the costumes were more fitting for Shun. Ruriko imagined Shun wearing a stewardess' uniform so she insisted her demand to Shirei. Kaoru volunteered also. Because of their persistence, Shirei agreed.<End Flashback>

Ruriko and Kaoru were wearing costumes of shoe-polishers. Ruriko did not expect that shoe-polishers also worked in an airport. Kaoru called Ruriko's attention when a man asked Ruriko for a shoe polish. Another man approached Kaoru and asked also or his shoes to be poloshed. Kaoru thought she should not lose the competition against Ruriko. "Ukiya-senpai's" heart would belong to the one who cleaned most shoes. Kaoru thought of it so she started to become enthusiastic in polishing shoes. Ruriko noticed Kaoru's enthusiasm so she also started to become intense in polishing. People wondered what they were doing so they surrounded them.

Shun was still looking for the Shanghai Gate Keeper when he heard his name called. "Ukkiiya! Where are you Ukkiiya!" Shun approached the girl in red who he thought was calling him. The girl chuckled and asked (in a not-so-Japanese-sounding tone) if he was really Ukkiiya. Shun said his name was Ukiya, Shun. The girl in red said Ukkiiya was not strange like him and then introduced herself as Fen Feiring. The girl went on with her search for this "Ukkiiya" and even mentioned that she would be in trouble if she would not find "Ukkiiya". A security noticed Shun and asked what a high school student like him was doing inside the airforce base. Shun did not mind the security and just showed his Earth Defense license. The security apologized. The girl had gone upstairs already.

Shirei was monitoring the screen and asking the report of every transportation vehicle. From Recoinassance Helicopters to Akizuki Patrol boat, yet their reports were the same. None of them were able to find the Invader. Shirei wondered where the Invader Plane had disappeared.

In Haneda Airport, the operators in the control tower were confirming Air France 274's landing. Somewhere in the airport's garage or hangar, a worker asked his superior if the Jumbo plane they were waiting for was permitted to land. The superior grumpily replied that he gave it permission to land.

Shun was about to follow the girl upstairs when a monkey jumped at him. Shun caught the monkey by hand and even noticed it was wearing an AEGIS License! Shun could not believe that the Shanghai Gate Keeper he was supposed to meet was a monkey!

Bancho had just arrived in Atsugi by cab. Bancho's fare was expensive so he asked for a receipt. Bancho entered the building and heard someone called "Ukiya". However it was just Fen Feiring who was looking for "Ukkiiya." Bancho called Fen Feiring and asked if she was just looking for Ukiya and if she was the Gate Keeper from Shanghai. Fen Feiring nodded.

Finally, the crowd was gone but Kaoru and Ruriko were both exhausted. Kaoru asked Ruriko how many pairs of shoes she had cleaned. Ruriko cleaned 46 pairs of shoes and Kaoru too. An old man approached Kaoru and asked for his shoes to be polished. Kaoru considered it a point so she won. Ruriko did not mind it. The old man's grandson asked permission to go out and watch the airplanes. Since it may be dangerous, the old man did not allow his grandson. Ruriko noticed that the boy was persistent so she volunteered to accompany him.

Ruriko bought juice for the boy, and then went out to see the planes. The boy said his mother was aboard a Boeing 727 plane. Ruriko pointed a plane that was landing and asked if it was a Boeing. The boy figured that it was not a Boeing but a Douglas DC-8. After that, the boy pointed all the aircraft that he can name: from DC-7 to YS-11 propeller planes. Evidently, the boy was knowledgeable about airplanes. It was because both parents of the boy were working in an airplane. -Announcement: Boeing 727 would be delayed for 15 minutes -

The old man informed his grandson, who he called Kazushige, that their mother would be late. Kaoru enjoyed the view outside and wished she brought his brothers there to see the planes. Suddenly the landing red-nosed Jumbo plane came sight. Kazushige could not believe it because the Jumbo plane was supposed to arrive next year.

The monkey was still shrieking while Shun was holding the monkey tightly with his hands. They were in a waiting room and on television was the Jumbo Plane. The monkey was panicking and was pointing at the Jumbo plane. Fen Feiring entered the room and called "Ukkiiya". The monkey was Ukkiiya! Fen Feiring asked the location of the Jumbo Plane and Shun said it was in Haneda. Fen Feiring demanded to be taken in Haneda Airport at once.

-Interference waves- The grumpy men in the hangar transformed into Invaders. Some selected travellers in Haneda Airport were also lured by the weird sound.

The Jumbo plane caught Shirei's attention. Travellers transformed into Invaders and marched inside the Jumbo Jet. Shirei ordered Megane to release NF-104 at once. Reiko was practicing her piano when she was grabbed by something. Then, Reiko was found inside NF-104 (which I think was a narrow auto-pilot rocket...or whatever). The usual sand storm in Tategami happened and Marilyn Monroe wannabe enjoyed the fast wind that was blowing her skirt!

Fen Feiring (I'd call her Fei from now on) demanded Shun to drive faster however that was the only speed Shun can manage.

Ruriko and Kaoru prepared themselves. They also would not allow the Jumbo Plane to fly. Ruriko attempted to attack Jumbo, but was prevented by Invader bazookas. Kaoru grabbed the crate nearby and threw it to the Jumbo. But the Invader's that popped out of the plane windows blew the crate with their bazookas. Jumbo was taking off! Reiko arrived (wow fast!) and said, "Since I am here don't worry!" When Reiko played the piano, she was past the Jumbo already. NF-104 was an autopilot. Ruriko approximated that Reiko would arrive in Kyushu shortly.

Flight 403, a Boeing 727 plane, (Kazushige's mother was aboard flight 403) was trying to land in the runway, but the runway was being blocked by Jumbo.

Shun's Yotahachi neared the Jumbo. Shun attacked with his Vacuum Missile and it hit somewhere the Jumbo's wing. Jumbo lost its balance and was dragged along the runway. Ukkiiya screeched and Fei knew there was no need to celebrate as the Invader core (the red nose) was not yet damage. Jumbo Plane showed its sharp teeth. As always, Megane (aboard the helicopter) appeared with the Gate Engine. But the sharp-teethed Jumbo blew the helicopter away. Jumbo was transforming similar to the speedy Concorde plane! Fei said she needed to use the Gate Engine so she followed the helicopter. Jumbo-turned-Concorde prepared to zoom.

Fei was in the port's ledge where the Concorde would be heading. Fei blamed herself for allowing Jumbo to pass through her last time. It appeared that Fei was the pilot who missed the red-nosed plane! Fei asked Ukkiiya about the core's location. Ukkiiya pointed through the center of the nose of Concorde. Fei extended her arms diagonally and formed huge red circles. Gate Engine was backing up Fei's power and the circle's rotation multiplied. With Fei's Fire Panda amplified, the Invader plane was destroyed successfully.

The Boeing 727 plane successfully landed.

Shun and the others new Fei did it. Kaoru thought of Fei as a new rival.

"Being a Gate Keeper in Japan sounds fun", said Fei. Fei got off her plane and left Ukkiiya to pilot her plane. Ukkiiya screeched as it gripped the control stick of the plane. Fei's parachute led her directly to Tategami.
Episode 8: Find the Invader!
[Megumi Kuragane formally introduced]
[Brief summary]

In the middle of the night, inside a messed up room, water dripped from the faucet. The man who was cowering in his blanket had been hearing a strange sound that had been disturbing him. The man trembled in fear and to escape his nervousness, he went to the faucet, opened it, and drank from it. After he recovered back to his normal self, he asked who he really was. (Episode Title)

Fei, their newly recruited GateKeeper was just 12 years old and was sporting the Tategami High School uniform. Kaoru remarked that Fei must be very smart to be admitted to the 1st year class. Fei humbly told them that Tategami have made the entrance test too easy for her. Ruriko said that it was like skipping in America. Shun asked Ruriko if she meant "skip" literally and demonstrated skipping rope action. Ruriko told Shun that she meant skipping grades and joked that he must be dropped to a grade or two. Kaoru defended Shun and told Ruriko that it was not nice of her. Shun agreed to Kaoru's defense, and then praised Fei.

Bancho was yawning in History class. The History teacher asked for a volunteer, to transcribe the words he wrote in Chinese characters. Ruriko raised a hand, Megumi seeing this followed. The teacher ignored them because they were the ones who always recited. The teacher asked for student number 13 because it was the 22nd day. Student number 13 happened to be Isogai. Isogai reasoned out that her student number had nothing to do with the date. Two students whispered about their History teacher's cruelty. The teacher heard the students' faint noises so he threw chalks at them, and shouted that he hated noise. The teacher insulted Isogai, who still had no answer on the board. Isogai started to cry and Ruriko stood up for her. The teacher did not care about Ruriko's remark and called Megumi instead. Megumi wrote the correct answer in the board. The teacher told everyone that they should be like Megumi.

Later in the faculty room, the History teacher argued with a student and told him that he should be like Megumi who always had high grades. Megumi, having heard of her teacher's remark, went out of the room smiling.

Students gathered around the bulletin board to see their test schedules. One student said she wanted to have even half the brain of Ruriko, the other one said that she would be contented even with Megumi's brain. Another student asked the latter if she wanted to be a nerd like Megumi. Megumi was just in a corner and had heard it. Megumi muttered Ruriko Ikusawa's name in a condemning tone.

A teacher reported (probably about school grades, or anything related to the school) to Shirei, who happened to be the principal of Tategami! After the teacher went out, AEGIS operators called for Shirei's presence, so he went down to the base through his chair — another secret entrance!

AEGIS operators reported that at 12:22 AM an Invader wave was detected in Tategami School with a 1 kilometer radius. Shirei thought of the incident as either the Invader had found out about the base or it was just a mere coincidence.

Bancho, Shun, and Ruriko talked about their History teacher. They all agreed that their teacher was not like that and just acted strangely the past few days. They stopped by a ramen restaurant when Bancho's stomach signaled that he was already starving. They saw Megumi come out of the restaurant with a delivery box. Ruriko greeted Megumi kindly and told her that she did not know they had a restaurant. Megumi felt ashamed and dashed back to the restaurant, directly to her room. The three of them wondered what was wrong with her.

In Megumi's room, Megumi whispered to herself that she did not want Ruriko to see her like that. Megumi recalled that Ruriko had always been number one, popular, and rich — unlike her. Megumi promised to herself that she would do her best for next day's Japanese History test.

It was almost or past midnight when the History teacher was hearing the noise again in his room. The teacher heard a voice dictating him to destroy but he would not give in. Some force controlled the teacher to get the sunglasses (the thing that Invaders used to transform) near him still, he would not give in. The teacher talked to the voice and said he was Yatsutaka Fukuokoka and that he was himself so no one should ever control him.

In the headquarters, AEGIS operators detected the same Invader wave again but it quickly disappeared.

Fukuoka desperately searched for his childhood pictures in his album but saw nothing. Fukuoka rushed out of his quarter to go to the payphone. When Fukuoka dialed his mother's number, an automatic operator replied that the number did not exist. The operator's voice kept on repeating and Fukuoka had gone crazy. Fukuoka seemed to have lost his identity.

Megumi sharpened her pencil with a knife and thought of being number one in their Japanese History test. The blade of the knife broke. Ruriko greeted Megumi and offered her sharpener. Megumi paused, looked at Ruriko, and finally accepted the sharpener.

A bit later, everyone was having a test. Megumi seemed to have answered every question items in the test but in the near end of her paper were blurry prints. Megumi thought of approaching Mr. Fukuoka (who btw, was touching his head like crazy) but she noticed that only ten minutes was left.

After the test, Ruriko's seatmates asked her the answer for the last set of questions and Ruriko answered them with assurance. Megumi heard Ruriko and then walked out. Ruriko noticed Megumi.

Megumi headed to the faculty room to complain to Mr. Fukuoka that there was a misprint in her paper so her grade must be based to 90. Megumi noticed the papers in the table and saw that Ruriko got a grade of 94 while she got an 88. Megumi complained to Mr. Fukuoka why Ruriko got a higher grade and insisted that she deserved a better grade because she always gave her best in his subject. Mr. Fukuoka, at that time was not himself, acted weird and murmured that he was himself. Mr. Fukuoka reached for his sunglasses and then transformed into a red-faced monster. Megumi, horrified, ran away.

AEGIS operators detected strange waves, no, this time the presence of an Invader.

The red monster was after Megumi. Mr. Fukuoka's voice told Megumi not to tell anyone about it but another voice told Mr. Fukuoka's being to kill the one who knew about it. Mr. Fukuoka told the voice that he was not a puppet, the other voice insisted that he was a puppet and that he should create confusion and destruction. Mr. Fukuoka's being begged Megumi not to tell anyone and Megumi promised. Ruriko appeared at the end of the hallway and shot the red monster with an arrow. Megumi ran to Ruriko and condemned her. Megumi said it was Ruriko's fault that the test question was not deleted before he turned into a monster. Ruriko had no idea what Megumi was trying to say. The red monster countered back with his 'bazooka left arm'. Ruriko noticed that the bullets thrown at her were chalks. The red monster ran after Ruriko to kill her.

Shun tried to call Shirei through his watch to ask Ruriko's location but the signals were off. 'Captain' Shun instructed Bancho to go to Shirei and commanded the rest of the Gate Keepers Party to go and find Ruriko with him.

The red monster found Ruriko and cornered her inside a room. Megumi, who was just outside the room, saw Ruriko trapped. Megumi thought if Ruriko were gone she would be number 1 but she remembered how Ruriko sincerely offered her a sharpener. The red monster pointed its bazooka hand to Ruriko. When the red monster fired its chalk bazooka, Ruriko was unbelievably saved. There was a green transparent barrier that protected Ruriko. Megumi appeared from the door and told Mr. Fukuoka/red monster not to kill Ruriko because her battle with her was not over yet. The red monster detected a power source from Megumi. The red monster released a sharp sword from the right hand and was in a slashing stance. The red monster came after Megumi and tried to slash her. The same barrier protected Megumi and it even broke the red monster's swordhand. Ruriko realized that Megumi had the Iron Shield Gate. Shun broke in from the window and attacked the red monster. Fei appeared from the door and attacked with her Fire Panda. Reiko and Kaoru also appeared and warned the red monster that he had no escape. Shun was about to finish the red monster when Megumi stopped him and told him that it was Mr. Fukuoka. Shun did not believe her and insisted the the red monster was an Invader. The red monster came to Shun to attack him. Shun killed the red monster off with his Ultra Whirlwind slash, before it could hurt him. The red monster disintegrated into a red crystal. Shirei appeared with Bancho and the AEGIS soldiers. Megumi walked toward the red crystal of Mr. Fukuoka. Mr. Fukuoka uttered his last words to Megumi that he did not know who he really was. Shun recognized the voice of Mr. Fukuoka and asked Shirei who he had just killed. Shirei told everyone that Invaders lived everywhere and lived among everyone. Megumi held Mr. Fukuoka's crystal in her hands until the crystal's substance slowly dissolved into air.
Episode 9: Break the Pitch Dark Gate
[Raido Kageyama introduced]
[Brief summary]

Shun's eyes were filled with fear, he was breathing fastly, and he was trembling. Everyone in his hometown turned into Invaders. Shun finished the Invaders off with his Vacuum Missile. He became anguished when he realized he killed innocent people lying on the ground — including his mother and sister.
Shun woke up from his nightmare, breathing fastly. (Episode Title)

Ruriko and Shun were walking on their way to Tategami School. Ruriko noticed that Shun was quiet so she talked about tomorrow's landing of Apollo 11 on the moon. Ruriko asked if animals can live on the moon especially rabbits, but she noticed that Shun was still quiet. Ruriko tried to convince Shun that Mr. Fukuoka was an Invader. Shun bitterly noted he did not care about it. Ruriko noticed their classmates, Isogai and Takanashi being abused by motorcycle goons. Ruriko called Shun's attention. Shun rushed to rescue them, but stopped when he imagined the goons to be Invaders. Ruriko offered to do it herself when she noticed Shun's withdrawal. As Ruriko ran to rescue her classmates, a boy of her age appeared to rescue them also. The boy had pale skin and had a pale grayish-green hair. The pale boy told the girls to run and said he would take care of goons. The boy threw his coat to the air, punches were heard, he was still standing when he caught his coat back, but after that he fell to the ground. The goons laughed at the boy and remarked he should not have acted cool. Ruriko came to the boy, and so did Isogai and Takanashi. Isogai and Takanashi apologized and thanked the boy. Ruriko asked Shun to help them get the boy up. The boy told Shun why he did not offer a hand when he was watching all along. Shun, was bothered by what the boy just said, so Shun suggested bitterly he should not have tried to beat the goons if he only wanted to look cool.

AEGIS Intelligence reported to Shirei about Yasutaka Fukuoka. The intelligence told Shirei that Fukuoka never existed, but his citizenship and school certificate were found. Shirei thought Fukuoka could not have done it himself. Shirei concluded that Fukuoka was born as a teacher in the society. Shirei asked for Miss Ochiai's report, and Miss Ochiai reported that according to students Mr. Fukuoka was a..., Shirei completed her sentence, "...a jerk.". -_-

Class 2-A students talked about Mr. Fukuoka's disappearance. Rumor said Mr. Fukuoka quitted because of family matter. A student commented that it was good Fukuoka was gone because he favored people. Megumi and Shun were quiet in their seats. Their teacher came in and introduced a new student. This new student was a transferee that came from different places. Ruriko, Isogai, Takanashi, and Shun recognized him. The new student was the pale boy awhile ago, and he introduced himself as Reiji Kageyama.

In Tategami rooftop, the girl GateKeepers were talking about Reiji. Fei asked Ruriko if this Reiji was that new cool guy in school. Ruriko told them that Reiji was good in everything, he was smart and was good in sports. Kaoru asked Ruriko if he was better that Shun. Ruriko asked back why Kaoru was bringing the question up when Shun was not with it. Kaoru noted that Shun was still upset because of the Fukuoka incident. Ruriko remarked that Shun should be strong because Invaders were only machines in human form. Megumi, who was a distance sitting away from them, spoke up that Mr. Fukuoka was the only one who understood her. Ruriko asked Megumi why she joined the Gate Keepers, and Megumi replied she would never allow her to get better any better. Ruriko asked Reiko what she thought of it, and Reiko only said "yes" while sleeping. (Sou desu ne...Sou desu ne...)

Shun was alone leaning on the wall and was watching student activities. Shun thought he should have joined a club. Reiji showed up and told Shun that he was looking for him. Reiji commented that it was hot, and Shun said it was because of summer. Reiji really meant Shun was hot — hotter than boiling magma, the sun that shines in the sky. Reiji continued that Shun was losing himself, he was running away because he was not confident in his mind. Shun yelled at Reiji to stop it. Reiji would not stop so Shun attempted to punch him. Suddenly, a baseball came to their way, but with Reiji's fast reflex he caught it — without looking! Reiji threw the ball to Shun and apologized that he said too much. Shun looked at the ball in his hand and realized Reiji was faking it (the losing to the goons thing) awhile ago.

The office of the principal called for the special members of the class (AEGIS distress call). Shun was late and Ruriko scolded him. After some arguments, Shirei told them of their new mission. Invaders were in the oil refinery in Kawasaki. Miss Ochiai showed the mapped areas that would be affected when the factory would be destroyed. Shun reacted that it was near his home. Ruriko requested Shirei to let her take the lead because Shun was emotionally unstable. Shun insited to Shirei that he would do it, Ruriko and Shun argued over it, but Shirei decided that Shun should take the lead.

Shun drove his UP-15, while the others were aboard the AEGIS Bus, and following them was a helicopter that carried the Gate Engine.

After a while, Shun had finally arrived in Kawasaki Oil Refinery and saw a bus stumbled on its side. Shun saw a group of black Invaders so he prepared for an attack. Shun was kept back when he saw the goon's motorcycles (owned by the goons we have seen) lying on the ground. Shun started to imagine Invaders as innocent people. A red Chainsaw appeared and commanded the group of black Invaders to combine the nuclei. Shun walked forward to stop the Chainsaw, and noticed he was stepping on gasoline. A boy (it's Reiji!) who wore sunglasses appeared from the top of a building. The sunglasses-wearing Reiji never gave his name to Shun, saying he never gave his name to jerks. Reiji even added that he was a jerk who could not shoot an enemy. Reiji commanded the Chainsaw to kill Shun. As the Chainsaw approached Shun with its cutting side, a barrier protected him and the Chainsaw's sharp edge broke. The Gate Keepers party had arrived, and Megumi who was on the Gate Engine chuckled as she had proven herself better than Ruriko in that situation. Kaoru hit the Chainsaw's face with her Dash and Kick until it revealed the red Invader, Ruriko followed with her Arrow of Light damaging the red Invader more, and Fei ended the red Invader core with her Fire Panda. Reiji (who was still unrecognized by them -- what poor eyesight Gatekeepers! ^_^;) announced that the bugs had finally arrived. The Gate Keepers persuaded Shun that the villain was only an Invader, a machine that looked like human. Shun agreed with them and was ready to finish their villain. To their surprise, Reiji opened a black gate and attacked them with black edges he called "Shadow Edge". The Gate Keepers were shocked to realize that their enemy was human, after all only special human beings had gate abilities. Reiji told them that if they were GateKeepers with AEGIS, then he was a GateKeeper with the Invaders. Reiji mocked Shun to kill him, and revealed a lighter in his right hand. Reiji told them that they were only ants and he would burn them. Shun was greatly angered and told Reiji that humans or Invaders, he would not tolerate anyone who did not value life. Shun started to open his gate in his Vacuum Missile stance. Reiji walked a step backward while he held the lighter steadily in his right hand. Vacuum Missile zoomed to Reiji's location. The lighter broke but Reiji was still alive. Reiji laughed evilly and told them that he was looking forward to meeting them again. By the time Reiji meets them again, he would expect Shun to put a hole in his chest. Reiji walked out of their sight laughing. Shun uttered to everyone that he was a failure. Ruriko disagreed and told Shun that he did the right thing because it was their duty to protect mankind. Shun blushed and uttered "Rurippe..." Ruriko walked to Shun and softly touched his cheek then pulled his cheek harshly because he called her Rurippe again.

The next day, girls gathered around Reiji who was injured. Reiji told them that he saved someone again so he got injured. Shun saw Reiji and walked to his direction. The girls did not like Shun's presence. Reiji greeted Shun and walked to him also. They apologized to each other (Reiji apologized that he said too much). Reiji offered a handshake with his injured right hand. Shun noticed that Reiji's right hand was injured so he offered his left hand instead. Shun's left hand touched Reiji's pale left hand, and they both smiled at each other. The episode ended with the historical first step of Neil Armstrong on the moon [Date: July 21, 1969].

Gatekeepers does not belong to me, it belongs to Gonzo, AXN and all those other great people who brought the anime series to life (who I'm not in *any* way associated with). No infringement was intended, believe me.
