Episode 19: Listen to the Opinion of the Youth [Brief summary] It was already December and days were nearing to Christmas. Shun, Ruriko, and Bancho were walking when they encountered Kaoru, Fei, Reiji, and three girls. Kaoru and Fei said that Reiji would be appearing on television. It turned out that Reiji's club was recognized by a producer of a yearly show, known as the 9th Annual Youth Competition. Shun congratulated Reiji and said that he would support them. Reiji told Shun not to feel different because he had reserved seats for them. Bancho went away to call his family and Mr. Hachiman in case he would be seen on TV. ^_^; Reiji looked at Ruriko and invited her too. Reiji expected Ruriko to come this time. Ruriko nodded a bit and remembered the time Reiji gave her flowers. Reiji and the girls said their good byes and went off. Kaoru read from the leaflet that the competion would be on Christmas Eve. (Episode title) AEGIS operators a huge ranged Invader wave. SHirei knew that it was one of the Fukuoka-type Invaders. Even though the AEGIS Fareastern Branch had improved its networks, Invaders were greatly increasing in numbers. Shirei wondered who was taking charge of the Invaders when the Invader staffs were already gone. Shirei thought hard and had a suspect in mind. Megumi was with her usual ramen delivery service. Megumi stopped when she heard some clashing and banging. Megumi peeked into a very narrow alley and saw Reiji Kageyama beating the hell out of the hippies. A hippy tried to run away from Reiji's attack, but was instantly caught and eliminated by Reiji's Shadow Edge. When Megumi saw this, she remembered the incident in Kawasaki Oil Refinery. Megumi thought of Shadow and Reiji and compared the two in her mind. Reiji ordered his so-called slaves that they should act as human mimics. The hippies bowed before him and adhered to his orders helplessly. Having enough of the scene, Megumi carried on with her ramen delivering. Reiji looked at the alley where Megumi just peeked. Reiji was grinning. In the Violet Dormitory, Fei was teaching Kaoru how to knit. Kaoru followed every instruction given to her by Fei but she always ended up breaking the wooden needles. Kaoru said that when she tried hard she always use too much power. Fei tried to convince Kaoru to stop making the scarf. But Kaoru was enthusiastic to finish the scarf before Christmas. For Kaoru, it would be a chance to show her true feelings for "Ukiya-senpai." Fei handed Kaoru another needle, but Kaoru broke it again. Fei informed Kaoru that it was her 105th needle already. At night, Megumi was reading her notes. O The next day outside WHK Hall, Shun and the others were waiting for Megumi. Megumi arrived and told them that she did not really have to see Reiji. After a while, they noticed hippies making fun of the youth event. The hippies were teasing anyone walked to the WHK Hall. The hippies even made a "blah-blah" speech, spoofing what would be happening in the event. Shun was about to stop those boorish hippies when Ruriko stopped him from provoking a fight. Shun and the others proceeded inside the WHK Hall. Megumi mumbled, "human scum." Before coming with the others, Megumi realized that the hippies were the ones she saw the day before. The event had already started and Shun, Bancho, Reiko, Fei, and Kaoru fell asleep. Megumi chewed on her thumb habitually while criticizing that the speaker had a weak argument. When it was Reiji's turn to speak, Ruriko woke them up. Reiji opened his speech by greeting "Hello," and the girls praised Reiji's coolness. Reiji proceeded to his speech, declaring to everyone that the world was filled with parasites. Reiji even mentioned about crushing parasites. The parasites Reiji was talking about were human scums. Shun asked Ruriko if the competion was shown live on TV. Ruriko nodded and thought if Reiji was all right. The competion host was shocked when he heard Reiji's repulsive speech and tried to stop him from speaking. Reiji told the host that he was just speaking up what he was feeling. The host demanded that the competition be stopped from showing live on air but the boorish hippies appear before him and one of them pointed a knife at the host. The hippies told Reiji that they loved his speech. The hippies even claimed that they were kindred and everyone else were parasites. Reiji corrected them and said that they were the parasites. The hippies were insulted. Ruriko predicted that Reiji would be in danger. Shun said the contrary that the hippies were in danger. Reiji head-butted, punched, kicked, kneed — used every part of his body to knock off the hippies, quite easily. Reiji continued his speech while still beating the hippies. Reiji said that he would crush the parasites for the future. Shun stopped Reiji. Reiji asked Shun if he came to help him with the hippies. Shun told Reiji to let the hippies go because they were still humans. Reiji told Shun that the difference of humans from parasites are wisdom. Reiji said that the hippies lacked wisdom and respect. Reiji kicked a hippy and Shun yelled at Reiji to stop it because he had gone too far. Shockingly, the hippies transformed into Invaders. Having seen this on screen, Shirei ordered that Ultra ECM should be spread to prevent TV viewers from seeing the Invaders. The competition show was shut off and the AEGIS logo was shown on every TV screens nationwide. Shun tried to contact Shirei but there was no signal because of the interference waves caused by Invaders. Having no choice, Shun ordered his comrades to act as high school students when fighting the Invaders. ("Roger, High School Students!") Ruriko attacked with her arrow, but still showed a streak of light. The students saw light came out of the arrow. Ruriko made an excuse that she was practicing for her archery club. Bancho slapped the Invaders with his sandals and said that it was hard for him to control his power! Fei eliminated Invaders around her with her Fire Dragon. Fei's said there must have been gas leak. ^_^; Shun hit the Invaders with his wooden sword while saying that he was preparing for his kendo match. Kaoru pushed Invaders while running and saying that she was preparing for her track meet. Kaoru saw an Invader delving into her bag. Kaoru yelled at the Invader not to touch her present for Shun and striked the Invader. Megumi hurried everyone to the exit door. Megumi eyed Reiji and remembered Shadow the evil Gate Keeper. Reiji met eyes with Megumi. Black rings circled Reiji's eye as he was staring at Megumi. Outside, Shun attacked the remaining Invaders with his Ultra Whirlwind Slash. Shun did not notice the students outside. Aya, Isogai, and Takanashi were shocked when they say the ring of light released by Shun. Reiji clapped and commended Shun for a job well done. Shun hastily thought of an excuse that he was just practicing for a magic show. Reiji asked Shun why he hated crushing parasites. Reiji even told Shun that if he had not stopped him, the disaster in WHK hall would not have happened. Miss Ochiai informed Shirei of the various complaints from TV viewers because of the Ultra ECM. Shirei allowed the ECM to be turned off since the Invaders were already gone. (interference waves were gone also) On TV, Reiji continued his speech. Reiji said that he would fight the parasites until the end before everything resembled into what happened inWHK Hall. Miss Ochiai told Shirei that Reiji was one of their students in Tategami. Shirei was looking at the screen, thinking. Inspite of the horrible day, Kaoru gave Shun the scarf she made. Kaoru was crying when she gave it since it was not really presentable. The scarf was red and had embroidered Yotahachi and letters S and U. Kaoru tried to protect the scarf from the Invader but she admitted that from the very beginning the scarf was twisted. Ruriko told Kaoru not to worry since she put all her hardwork into the scarf. Shun agreed and said that he always wanted a red scarf to look like a super hero and then he wore it with pride. Kaoru was enlightened. Bancho asked Shun if he can barrow his scarf for a while. "Dame!" (No!), Shun refused jokingly. That night, Megumi entered the club room of Society for Political Thought. Inside the room was Reiji who was facing the window. Reiji told Megumi that he was expecting her. Megumi told Reiji that he was a liar. Reiji leaned to Megumi and whispered that he needed her power — only the power uniquely hers. Reiji closed the door and welcomed Megumi to his club. |

Episode 20: Leap into the New Year!
[Saemi centered, Yukino appears] [Brief summary] Saemi passed along the wet market with a disappointed face. Saemi longed for a complete family New Year yet her mother said Shun was not coming. A boy called Saemi's attention and started to call her a chimp ("uki! uki! Ukiya's a chimp", note: for japanese, "uki" is how a monkey sounds). The boy touched Saemi's head and even called it the head of a monkey. Saemi was annoyed so she shoved the boy's hands away. Saemi's clip was also accidentaly shoved so it fell to the ground. The clip was probably porcelain or glass as it broke when it landed. Saemi's clip was given to her by Shun. Takeshi (the boy) felt bad about it and ran away. (Episode Title) There were two visitors in Tategami, Yukino and Saemi. Yukino appeared in a classroom using her usual teleportation. Saemi was in the corridors, searching for Shun. Saemi was informed by a lady from the dorm that Shun was in Tategami. Saemi entered a classroom and explored it. She reached the top of the blackboard but realized it was too high. Saemi checked the desk then realized that it was too big. Saemi also noticed a club poster in the bulletin board. Saemi thought that High School life would be fun. Saemi got out of the classroom and continued her search for her brother. Hisame called Saemi's attention. Saemi kneeled before the creature and said it was cute. Yukino appeared and called her pet. Saemi greeted Yukino hello and remarked that her mink was cute and it was even white. Yukino corrected her that it was an okojo (ermine). Hisame must have been leading a way because it ran. Shirei, Miss Ochiai, and the Gate Keepers party were having a meeting in the principal's office. The Gate Keepers were not allowed to take holidays because Invaders do not take holidays themselves. Saemi jumped to reach the door window while mouthing her brother's name. Miss Ochiai pointed to the door window and asked who it was. Saemi entered and asked her brother why he was not coming home for New Year. Shun slipped that it was because of security reasons but immediately corrected it and said it was because of his school project. Saemi told her brother how excited she was to watch the Red and White Show with their mother. Shirei walked to Saemi and apologized for holding back her brother. Shirei allowed Shun to come home for New Year. Shun slipped again, "Shirei?!" Ruriko quickly explained that Shirei was their principal's name. Saemi scolded her brother for calling his principal by his firstname. Saemi introduced herself to Shirei and thanked him for teaching her brother. All of the Gate Keepers were allowed to go home for New Year. However, Kaoru and Ruriko had nowhere to go because both their families had gone to vacation. Kaoru's family was with her grandmother while Ruriko's parents went to Hawaii. Saemi offered to spend their vacation in their house. Shun agreed that it was a good idea. Kaoru blushed and clinged to Shun and told him she would cook. Shun tried to refuse because she was a guest but Kaoru insisted. Ruriko felt left behind. Yukino appeared and said a meaningful verse, "If this is not the end of oblivion, then I shall live everyday as if my life were to end on this very day." Having seen Yukino, Saemi also invited her to their house. Bancho and Megane were in the AEGIS hangar eating some noodles. Megane complained that it was lonelier in the hangar that it was in his dormitory. Bancho said he only wanted to spend his vacation with Megane. It was not what Megane expected because Bancho told him they would be seeing girls in kimono. Ruriko finished praying before the Ukiya's altar. Kazuko (Shun's mother) walked to "Ruri-chan" and remarked how she had grown a lot. After replying to Kazuko's compliment, Ruriko volunteered to help with dinner. Kaoru also volunteered and followed them to the kitchen. Saemi watched Hisame played tricks with the ball. Shun was also amazed with Hisame's tricks. Yukino just stared at them. Kaoru asked Ruriko why Yukino was quiet. Ruriko said Yukino had been like so when Shun and her encountered Yukino in Mt. Daisetsu. Kaoru did not know Ruriko and Shun had a mission wherein they were only together. Kaoru asked Ruriko what they did in Mt. Daisetsu. Ruriko thought of something to answer and said it was just something like a dream. Kaoru angrily threw the food up and caught it with the pan. Kazuko told Kaoru that she would make a good wife. Saemi had mentioned two modern words to Yukino: cool and trend. Saemi said Yukino was cool to own a white ermine. When Yukino asked what "cool" meant, Saemi said it was something like leading a trend. "A trend?" Yukino repeated the word in an asking tone.. At night, only Saemi and Yukino were awake. Saemi showed Yukino her photo album and told her about her experiences. When Saemi talked about Mt. Fuji, Saemi asked Yukinio if she had seen it. Yukino replied with another of her Tanka Poetry, ""If the wind that blows disappear in the sky, the clouds from Fuji know not where my feelings go." Saemi asked Yukino what it was and Yukino said it was a song for Mt. Fuji. Saemi sang the Mt. Fuji song she knew, "With its head above the clouds/ Looking down on mountains around /See the lighting below/ Fuji is the largest mountain in Japan." Shun sneezed in his sleep that startled Saemi. Saemi was relieved that it was only her brother's sneeze. A picture of Takeshi fell off the album and Yukino picked it up. Saemi told Yukino that Takeshi was cruel and quickly took the picture from Yukino. Saemi turned the page of the photo album then talked about winning a track meet. Saemi was second place and she got a pencil for winning, although she wished she got the notebook - the prize for the champion. Then Saemi talked about Takeshi and said something about his denseness. "He does not even know how I feel…", Saemi said as she yawned. Saemi fell asleep on Yukino's shoulder. Yukino tucked Saemi in bed and picked the flashlight. Yukino figured how to switch the flashlight off, finally she got it. The next day, Fei and Reiko visited Ukiya residence. They brought rice cakes for them. In the dining table, Reiko talked about having a part time job with Fei. Fei said that they got fired after 21 minutes and 16 seconds. Reiko told them the old man was kind to them that he gave them rice cakes. Fei added, "…in tears he begged us to go." A loud knock was heard. Saemi volunteered to get it. Saemi opened the door and saw Takeshi. Saemi quickly closed the door behind her. Takeshi showed Saemi a yellow heart-shaped clip on his palm. Saemi pushed Takeshi's hand away and told him she did not want it. Then Saemi closed the door on Takeshi. Takeshi just stood there with a sad face. Yukino appeared behind him and looks at the clip. They all went to a public bath. Shun was alone in the tub, while the girls weretogether on the other side. Fei talked about her and Reiko's experience in their job awhile ago. Saemi was having fun with Yukino and her mother. Reiko remarked that Japanese tubs are huge, then she told them that she forgot that the next day (New Year) would her birthday. Shun just listened to the girls' conversations and said, "It's lonely…" After the bath, Saemi told Yukino about Takeshi who came to apologize awhile ago. Saemi said she was a jerk for the way she treated Takeshi. Saemi confessed that she really liked Takeshi. Yukino said the meaningful verse again, "If this is not the end of oblivion, then I shall live everyday as if my life were to end on this very day." Saemi remarked that Yukino always said complicated things. Ruriko was just listening to them by the door and repeated what Yukino said. Even though Yukino said complicated things, Saemi knew Yukino was just trying to cheer her. Saemi looked at the mirror and noticed the yellow heart-shaped clip attached to her hair (magic!). Yukino told Saemi the clip looked nice on her. Shun thanked Mr. Matsuda for the television. Shun, Fei, Reiko, and Kaoru started to watch the Annual Red and White Show on WHK. Shun was amazed that the show was clear and he can distinguish which was white and which was red. Kaoru asked if all televisions in Japan were already colored. Fei said it would be nice. Reiko asked who put the colors on television. Ruriko and Saemi were away from the television, both with sad faces. Ruriko recalled what Yukino said, "as if my life were to end on this very day…" Someone knocked at the door and Shun expected someone so he answered the door. However, it was only Takeshi. Saemi jumped out of her chair and went outside. Takeshi apologized and noticed that Saemi was wearing the clip. Saemi did not know what to say. They looked at each other and finally apologized, at the same time. Saemi said she did not want to throw the clip so she wore it. Takeshi told Saemi she should not throw it because he spent all his allowance for it. Then Saemi teased Takeshi. Kazuko appeared and told Saemi to stop teasing. Kazuko invited Takeshi come in. Kaoru asked Shun who he was expecting. Shun said it was the ramen delivery. Outside, Megane and Bancho arrive with AEGIS Bus. Megane was grateful Megumi's house was a ramen restaurant. Megumi came down from the bus with the noodles. Bancho and Megane headed to Shun's house. Megumi was glaring at the moon, then whispers "Have fun while you can…" They all visited the temple. After Ruriko opened her eyes, Shun asked her why she prayed long. Ruriko answered with Yukino's line, "as if my life were to end." Ruriko said life was not forever, and she prayed to cherish it. Shun did not get it. After visiting the temple, they all posed together for the group picture. Megane prepared the automatic camera and joined in. "Cheese!" The picture was taken. Episode ended with Yukino's hope for New Year. "At the beginning of New Year, more than ever, build enough joy for a thousand years." |

Episode 21: Protect the Festival of Progress
and Harmony! [Brief summary] On television are morning talk show hosts, Takehito Koyasu and Etsuko Kozakura (they are the seiyuus of Bancho and Megane!), who were calling each other bugs on air. Mr. Ikusawa walked in the living room and wondered if he was forgetting something. His wife, Mrs. Ikusawa checked if he bought medicine with him. Mr. Ikusawa noticed the guest on the TV talk show. It was Reiji Kageyama, the boy who gave Ruriko flowers. Ruriko walked in the living room and handed a handkerchief to her dad. Ruriko noticed Reiji on TV and became silent. Mr. Ikusawa reminded Ruriko that she was too young to have a boyfriend. "It was nothing like that," Ruriko said in reply to her father's tease. Mr. Ikusawa wished his family take care and promised to work well and give them better life. Apparently, Mr. Ikusawa had just received a nice offer that has to do with the International Expo. Mr. Ikusawa headed out to go with a man who was waiting for him. The driver was not patient in waiting, the moment Mr. Ikusawa boarded the car - the driver drove rashly. On TV, Kageyama broadcast that TV consumers themselves are parasites. (Episode title) Miss Ochiai served the usual morning coffee to Shirei. Shirei thanked Miss Ochiai while reading a file. Shirei sipped his coffee and frowned. Miss Ochiai was sure that the coffee was made from fresh beans. Shirei was not frowning about the coffee but at the file he was reading. On the file was obviously young Reiji Kageyama. Shirei frowned while he continued to read and investigate. Miss Ochiai apologized about the coffee. A crowd of fanatic girls gather at Class 2-A's door. They asked Aya, Isogai, and Takanashi if they could join the society or at least have Reiji's autograph. Ruriko and Shun walked along the corridor while talking about Mr. Ikusawa's work at the Expo. Ruriko and Shun noticed the crowd in front of their classroom. "Reiji's really popular." Shun remarked. In Class 1-A, Kaoru told Fei that Shun was a million times charming than Reiji. Reiji fanatics in their classroom heard Kaoru and frowned at them. "No one is more charming than Reiji!" they said. Kaoru and Fei could not do anything but agree. ("Hhhai.") In Class 3-A, Reiko was problematic because she forgot something, no, actually everything. Reiko emptied her bag and there was absolutely nothing. Reiko asked her classmates on her left if she could borrow either a notebook or a textbook but they were busy discussing about the general rally. Reiko asked her classmates on her right if she could borrow a pencil or a lunch but they were also busy discussing about Reiji. Back in Class 2-A, Bancho told Ruriko and Shun that he did not like "pale and city-bred people." (Reiji) Bancho noticed Shun was silent so he asked what was wrong. Shun had not talked with Reiji since the WHK incident. Shun told them that he could not tell Reiji the truth because it was hard for him to be understood. Shun said, "If we can only understand each other, Rurippe." Ruriko heard it and pummeled Shun, and he fell unconscious from his chair! "I haven't seen that in a while." Bancho said. Ruriko assured Shun that they would be smiling at each other once the battle is over. Ruriko asked the collapsed Shun if he was listening. Observing that Shun wasn't moving from where he fell, Bancho said: "I don't think so." Inside the room of Society for the Study of Political Thought, Reiji was saying that everything was working well in his way. Apparently, Reiji was talking to someone. Shadows of Kikai and Akuma appeared. "Make humans anxious and fearful." Akuma said. "That's why I revived you" Reiji said to them as he recalled the battleship event. "You did it for revenge and we did it for our objective of creating a human farm." Kikai added. Reiji sensed something and suspiciously opened the door. "Who's there?!" Reiji asked at the top of his voice, with a scary face. Reiji noticed that it was just his three co-founders. Aya, Isogai, and Takanashi was a little frightened with the way Reiji answered the door. Reiji's voice turned into a kind tone and he smiled at them. Reiji apologized and said he thought they were the paparazzi. The trio became relieved and they reported that 10000 participants from all over Japan were coming to the rally. Reiji thanked them and told them that they were special to him. The trio blushed. Mr. Ikusawa was thankful to the Expo Organizer that his small firm, Ikusawa Construction, got offered by the International Expo. The Expo Organized was not responding to him. Mr. Ikusawa began to notice workers playing around the pavilion. "Seems we're short of labor due to economic boom." Mr. Ikusawa said. "What's your problem?!" asked the organizer annoyingly. "From now on, this will be the International Expo…of HELL!" the organized changed into a red Invader while the rest of the workers changed to the black Invaders. Shirei called for the Gate Keepers Party. Shirei informed them of the Invaders ravaging the International Expo, 30 minutes ago in Osaka. Shirei noticed Ruriko's reaction and asked the problem. Ruriko told him that it was nothing. Shun remembered that Ruriko's father was working at the International Expo. "It's the festival of progress and harmony, protect it from the Invaders!" Shirei sent the Gate Keepers out to make a sortie. Two helicopters seen above the sky. One helicopter was carrying the AEGIS bus. Inside the other helicopter were Shun and Megane. Shun asked Megane if the helicopter could be faster. With the Gate Robo aboard, Megane said, it was impossible. Shun called Ruriko, who was inside the bus (hanged in the other helicopter) told her not to worry. Shun cautioned Megane to hold tightly. Shun opened his gate of gales. Their helicopter entered the wormhole formed by Shun and it accelerated greatly. AEGIS operators reported to Shirei that the helicopter was flying at 1.5 times the speed of sound and it would be arriving at the battlefield within 17 minutes. Shirei was worried that the helicopter would not be able to take the speed. The helicopter had finally arrived at the mission location but the chassis was scraped into pieces and it crashed. Fortunately, Megane and Shun landed safely with the Gate Robo. The place was dark and quiet. A crane moved itself and pushed Gate Robo. Shun thought it was the enemy. Megane noticed a man on top of the pavilion being held by the red Invader. Shun recognized he was Ruriko's father. AEGIS Bus had arrived. It transformed into a battle bus. The Gate Keepers inside the bus noticed the Gate Robo climbing the pavilion. Kaoru jumped out of the bus and took metal grills. "Kaoru Javelin Throw!" The grills attached to the pavilion helping Gate Robo to climb. Fei attacked the pavilion's base with Fire Dragon. "Hikari no…" Ruriko followed but the tip of the pavilion turned to her and she noticed her father. "Father!" Ruriko exclaimed. "What, that's Ruriko's father?!" they all screamed. Because of the pavilion's movement, Gate Robo lost its balance and fell down inside the pavilion's body. The AEGIS Bus and other nearby things were slowly absorbed by the pavilion. Ruriko fell off the bus. Megumi jumped out and cushioned Ruriko's fall with her "Wall of Shock Buffer." "You always cause me trouble!" Megumi said. "Help me, Ms. Ono!" Reiko screamed as she was being dragged inside the pavilion. AEGIS operators reported that the Gate Robot and AEGIS bus were already absorbed by the pavilion and it increased its mass by 20 %. AEGIS Operators lost their signal due to interference waves. Shirei thought it was not the normal tactics used by Invaders. "Could it be Shadow?" Shirei thought. "We're inside the body of the pavilion!" Megane cried. "Good!" Shun said and attacked with Vacuum Missile. Gate Robo's power decreased to zero. They realized that the pavilion was absorbing energy. Fei tried with her Fire Dragon. It did not work either. Instead Fei wobbled, feeling her energy was taken away from her. Megane realized attacks would not work. Bancho screamed that he had not shown his power yet. Shun warned Bancho not to yell or else he would lose his stamina. Then Shun realized voice were not absorbed. "They are echoed!" Megane approved. Kaoru got an idea that illusion would work. Everyone looked at Reiko. Reiko had her usual ignorant look. Megumi told Ruriko that Invaders were absorbing the Gate Keepers energy. "Can't you hear? Listen." Megumi ordered Ruriko (screaming Gate Keepers heard), "It's funny, you're rich, popular, and a top student, and yet you are not able to save them." Reiko took out her portable piano it appeared to be an abacus (I'm not really sure if it transformed or it was because Reiko forgot her piano). "Hail Vader!" Kikai Shogun's famous line. Shadows of Akuma Hakushaku and Kikai Shogun appeared. "We have been waiting for you. This will be your grave!" Akuma Hakushaku said. Shun could not believe it because he had beaten them. Akuma Hakushaku stated that they would never vanish as long as humans have infinite desires. Akuma Hakushaku showed what was happening outside the pavilion. On a shadowy screen were Ruriko and Megumi. Akuma Hakushaku remarked that Ruriko was a coward because her father was in custody, while the other one is… Without continuing the remark, Akuma invited them to become a part of the pavilion. Kaoru accelerated toward Bancho and took him. Then Kaoru jumped to Shun and took him also. Kaoru threw Bancho and Shun upwards, away from the pavilion's body. "We are counting on you!" Kaoru told them. Megumi told Ruriko she was worse than a speck of bug. Megumi could not forget about Fukuoka-sensei and still blamed Ruriko for it. Bancho and Shun arrived at the top of the pavilion. Bancho and Shun ran up to save Ruriko's dad. They were slowing down the moment they get higher so Bancho stopped and pushed Shun. Ruriko's face was fallen, she did not know what to do. Ruriko held her bow and arrow then pointed at the red Invader. Megumi asked if she would really destroy the Invader along with her father just to save the world. Tears fell down from Ruriko's eyes. "Your faultlessness makes me sick!" Megumi yelled, "True Self!" Megumi's face turned evil and she unleashed a dark gate then she penetrated Ruriko's heart. Shun continued to run until he got to the edge. Shun jumped to the red Invader and took Mr. Ikusawa. Shun called out to Ruriko that her father was safe. Ruriko was still pointing the arrow then she released it. "Ruriko, your father is fine!" Shun assured Ruriko as he ran down. Ruriko heard Shun. The arrow went past the red Invader. Ruriko begged her arrow to hit the Invader. The arrow acted according to Ruriko's command as it turned back and hit the red Invader. Bancho and Shun quickly ran down before the pavilion they were running on would disappear. The pavilion slowly disintegrated. "Rurippe, I kept my word" Shun said in his mind. Mr. Ikusawa was taken into the ambulance. Kaoru, Reiko, and Fei informed Shun that Megumi and Ruriko were missing. Megumi and Ruriko appeared before Reiji. Ruriko was enveloped inside a green substance, possibly the green wall of Megumi. "She closed her gate and locked herself in the depths of her heart." Reiji said. Reiji turned to Megumi and told her he needed her to work for him more. "Fine. As long as you truly appreciate me…" Megumi said as she wrapped her arms around him. Reiji grinned. |

Gatekeepers does not belong to me, it belongs to Gonzo, AXN and all those other great people who brought the anime series to life (who I'm not in *any* way associated with). No infringement was intended, believe me. |
