Episode 19: Listen to the Opinion of the Youth [Long summary] Kageyama is a guest speaker at a youth opinion affair that's being broadcasted on National Television. He invites Shun and the gang to attend the event, and they readily agree. While delivering noodles before the event, Megumi catches Kageyama using his dark gate power on an invader, and she later realizes that the dark gatekeeper they fought in the past and their classmate, Kageyama, were one and the same. At the event itself, more interesting things are revealed as Kageyama steps forward with his speech about "crushing the parasites". |

Episode 20: Leap into the New Year!
[Saemi centered, Yukino appears] [Long summary] Finally, it's Christmas break and the students are all on vacation. That is, all the students but the gatekeepers, since invaders don't take holidays. Saemi isn't very happy about Shun not coming home, so she takes matters into her own hands and manages to get Shun to come, along with the rest of the gatekeepers, for a New Year's celebration. Yukino gets dragged along, and though Shun's sister acts cheerful with her, Yukino learns that Saemi too isn't immune from the aches of the heart. |

Episode 21: Protect the Festival of Progress
and Harmony! [Long summary] Ruriko's dad has been hired to help with the construction for a special event, and the whole Ikusawa family is pretty optimistic about it. Unfortunately, invaders turn up once again. It's different this time, though, as they take Ruriko's dad hostage, something they've never done before. Shun speeds ahead to the rescue, knowing what Ruriko has at stake in the outcome of the battle, but he, with the rest of the gatekeepers, get sucked into the invader entity. Only Megumi and Ruriko get left behind to handle the monster. Can Ruriko handle the pressure of extinguishing the invader at the risk of the lives of her father and her teammates? |

Episode 22: Beat the Jet Black Robot!
[Evil gatekeeper's past told] [Long summary] The evil gatekeeper's history is revealed and the gatekeepers learn of how his originally good gate was turned into a hateful black. Shun can't help feeling sorry for him. Meanwhile, Ruriko and Megumi are missing, and the A.E.G.I.S. team can't figure out why they were taken hostage by the invaders. Back in school, everyone is wild about Kageyama, and eager to join his club. A rally is held and hundreds of people and fans show up to hear Kageyama speak. Kageyama chooses this time to finally put his plan into action. Needless to say, the rally ends up the venue for uncovered betrayals and revelations. |

23: Exert all your courage to fight! [Long summary] AEGIS is under siege by the invaders as the black gatekeeper exercises his full powers. The gatekeepers hide and attempt to repair the badly damaged Gate Robot, and as they do, they literally uncover a part of the past. Because of the revelation, Shun goes to the heart of the matter, home, to find out the rest of the story behind his "liar" of a father. |

24: Final Episode: For Tomorrow's Smile... [Long summary] Shun and Kageyama confront each other and mouth off while all of Japan watches on TV. Meanwhile, Ruriko's past is delved into by Megumi, and there, Megumi unlocks the dark hatred within "Rurippe". Now, Shun has to fight not only Kageyama, but also his childhood friend that could just be 'something more'. |
