A Whole New Kai

Koenma sat on his chair wearily. It had been another busy day dealing with the Reikai files. He was very tired yet thankful. The epidemic that had struck Ningen Kai last week was almost gone. Soon the files would return to it's normal thousand count. Koenma sighed. He was very tired not with stress but with his job. He wished he could've been somebody else. Someone other than the prince of Reikai. He wished to be a normal person, not Reikai's next ruler. He wanted to be free. He wanted...
"Hello Koenma-sama!!" Koenma's thoughts was distracted with Botan's greeting. "Good day too, Botan-san." he greeted back. He then look at her while she joyfully walked towards his desk. She then reported that the tanteis had completed the last mission and was granted a vacation by Enma Daoih. As he listened, he then thought that if he hadn't become the prince, he wouldn't have met Yuusuke or any of the Urameshi team's members. And he wouldn't have known Botan either, the merriest and bubbliest ferry girl he had ever known.
As Botan reported about the tantei, she observed Koenma's face. "He looks very tired and sad." she thought. "Maybe Koenma-sama needs a break. He needs to get out." She added. That's when an idea struck her. She looked at Koenma with a gleaming smile. "That's all Koenma-sama. Oyasumi nasai." She then bowed and left the room. "This will be very exciting." she thought as she planned out her idea.
"Oyasumi nasai." He whispered, then started arranging his desk. He then went to his room. As he entered it, he walked towards the bathrooom to freshen up. When he walked out he was in his teenage form. Going to bed, he tried to sleep, but sleep wouldn't come to him. He then went out his veranda to get breath of Reikai's night air. Leaning on the terrace rails, he watched the stars. He was enjoying himself when Botan appeared before him, flying on her oar, with a gleaming smile on her face.
"Hello, Koenma-sama." Botan greeted. "What are you doing here?" Koenma asked. "Well, I want to show you something." Botan answered. "Then, what is it?" Koenma asked, concealing his excitement with irritation. "I don't have it here. It's outside." Botan answered. "Then go get it." Koenma ordered." I can't, you must come with me." Botan then grabbed his hands. He lost his balance and since he was leaning over the railing, gravity took over and he began to fall. Botan swooped down and saved him before he even touched the ground. "Why did you do that?!" Koenma yelled. He was now clinging tight onto Botan's waist for dear life. Botan just smiled and ordered her oar to fly outside the Reikai walls.
**I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, prince of reikai, now
When did you last let your heart decide**
Botan flew above the Reikai clouds. Koenma's eyes was shut. He could feel they were very high above ground now. Noticing this, Botan held Koenma's hand.
**I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magical oar ride.**
With that, Koenma opened his eyes. He looked at Botan who assured him it was alright. The oar then flew above and then under the clouds. Under it a place was revealed. They were in the Makai.
**A whole new world
A new fantastic point of veiw
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming**
The Makai seemed peaceful that night. Though it has it had a bad reputation, the scene they were seeing now was breathtaking. The Makai forest was very beautiful. They flew in and out of it until they reached a very enchanting lagoon. A pack of youkos were bathing in it. They then spotted a familiar one with silver hair and golden eyes. It waved back as they waved hello. Koenma smiled. He never knew this side of Makai.
**A whole new world
A dazzling place i never knew
But now from way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you**
Botan then flew above some plateus. She then got nearer at a certain plateu where a certin fire demon was training. Not wanting to be fried, they went off trying not to interrupt it. They then flew to anther plateau where some beautiful Makai flowers grew. Botan stopped herself from picking some when she saw a sign that this garden belonged to the certain youko they had encountered earlier.
**Unbelievable sight
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, thimbling, freewilling
Through an endless diamond sky**
Botan flew towards a portal. Koenma didn't notice it since he had this strange feeling inside of him. Is this happinness? he thought. He then was welcomed by a blinding light. As the light ceased, the oar was above a city. They were in the NingenKai.
**A whole new world (Don't you dare close your eyes)
Hundred thousand things to see(hold your breaht it get's better)
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back where I used to be**
They flew above the busy streets of Tokyo. They then passed by a certain ramen shop. There they saw a certain guy who lead a certain team of the Reikai Tantei. They both chuckled as a certain brunette smashed a mallet on the certain guy. They then flew over a certain temple where lives a certian master with a certian ice demon maiden. They were not surprised to see a certain orange-haired loud guy with the silent ice maiden. Inside, the certain master was talking with a certain big sister of the certain loud guy. They chuckled even more as they flew towards a park.
**A whole new world (every turn a surprise)
with new horizons to pursue (every moment red-letter)
I'll chase them anywhere (anywhere)
There's time to spare (there's time to spare)
Let ma share this whole new world with you.**
They then passed by a trail of Sakura trees. The flowers showered around them like confetti. Botan looked at Koenma. She smiled as she opened her palm and caught a perfect and lovely sakura. Koenma stared at her. He was confused with these new feelings he felt for Botan. He hadn't noticed before, how beautiful Botan was. He hadn't noticed it, but he was staring at Botan for a long time. Botan blushed and look away. An awkward silence then fell upon them. In this journey, Koenma felt he had opened something he never expected to. He had felt it in surprise.
**A whole new world (a whole new world)**
They then decided to call it a night and head back to Reikai. On the way, they were both silent.
**That's where we'll be (that's where we'll be)
As they reached Koenma's terrace, Botan smiled at him and thanked him for coming wih her. "No, Botan" Koenma said as he shook his head. "I'm the one who should thank you for this wonderful night." he added. He then leapt from the oar into his terrace.
**A thrilling chase
a wondrous place**
"Oyasumi nasai Koenma-sama." Botan then bowed and flew away. Koenma just smiled. That one magical night with her made him think that being a prince now wasn't so bad. Now he was sure: he was very lucky to be the prince of Reika, because he had a ferry girl, no, a friend like Botan. A very special friend.
**For you and me...**
"Oyasumi nasai, Botan-chan" Koenma as he looked where Botan had flown. "Aishiteru."
